People drove 12 hours from Seattle to spend a week watching the ranch work and enjoying nature.  Hunters arrived in the fall.  The ranch operation was a success

The Dude Ranch operated until 1952 when a sudden family illness regretfully required the sale. 

Reportedly, the ranch was bought for $1,800 and sold for $50,000.
